Background to single

Both songs were recorded around March and April when Chris was at his peak in the recording process during the “A Geminus Vita” sessions. “The Sun And The Moon” went through several changes including this edited version of the alternate mix from the LP.

Whilst “Watching The Stars” was remixed by Holly and had some minor alterations in that mix made by Chris. The version that is on the main LP (not the special edition) is the full 5:55 version, although that does not appear here as this is an edited version.

The twelve tracks featured here came about as a result of Chris reviewing a song on Broadjam.com by US DJ/producer Cassandra Allen, although he did not know that the song “Give Me Some Love” was indeed by Cassandra. He suggested the band remix the song for her for free and to his surprise Cassandra fully agreed!

The band responded by suggesting if she would like to remix one of their songs in return, with both sides owning the rights to any remixes completed. With this agreement, “The Sun And The Moon” was put forward as their choice and as it turned out was actually Cassandra’s choice also as she loved the song.

So, here are those remixes by Cassandra Allen against which you will find five new remixes by Christ On A Bike of “The Sun And The Moon”.

The cover is designed by Chris, although this was not the first choice as Holly was going to create a new photograph with them both in using Cassandra’s picture as a guise. Sadly it hasn’t been possible to make this photo.
