Christ On A Bike - Archive News 2006
A fairly new music hosting site but nonetheless packed with thousands of songs and Christ On A Bike hits' the daily charts there up and running at No. 1 spot!!! "Watching The Stars" has made No. 1 on the Vocal House chart, whilst "The Sun And The Moon" is at No.11 in the Electro chart and "Everytime" is at No. 20 having jumped 170 places!!!!! December 23rd 2006 - Broadjam Top Ten Chart News! - A Xmas Treat!!!!!
One of the old singles from "A Geminus Vita" , "Everytime" has made it back into the top ten at No. 9 this week on the Electronic Trance genre at www.broadjam.com.
The latest radio show from DJ Dark has the band appearing third on the show (roughly 10 minutes in) with "I Wanna Get Muted" (taken from the "I Can't Hear You Calling" single) so if you would like to listen to this track follow the click along to the click below :-

A new single "Christ On A Bike vs Cassandra Allen remixes" is released on Nov. 27th 06 as a full 12 track single CD. The CD features five new remixes by US DJ/Producer Cassandra Allen of "The Sun And The Moon" alongside five new remixes by the band of "Watching The Stars" together with the shorter versions of the LP tracks. The single is available only here from our Shopping Page and is priced at a modest £3.99 as the CD is contained in a full maxi-CD case as opposed to our usual wallets. Chris has been working on tons of songs which did not fit the "A Geminus Vita" LP and are destined now to be released as two separate LPs which have now evolved with a life of their own into "Child's Play" and "Adult Games". To give the band followers an insight into this new material the band have added to two new songs for FREE download on the DOWNLOAD PAGE. First is a song written with the horror film series "Saw" in mind, it's called "Deep Saw". then from the first of these LPs to be released next year is a track called "Sleepy Time", an ode to how easy babies can sleep but we have difficulties sometimes!

September 12th 2006 - Cassandra Allen's "Give Me Some Love" was played on New Artist Radio's "The Loco Show" today.
Our "Freaky Mix" of Cassandra Allen's "Give Me Some Love" was played at the end of 12.9.06 edition of The Loco Show on New Artist Radio. To hear this remix by the band, which is actually listed as Christ On A Bike, use the following link. The band's remix is the next to last song played at around 55 minutes into the broadcast. DJ dark credits the song as "Cassandra Allen from Christ On A Bike"! So we have told Cassandra that she is now our new band member!
September 11th 2006 - "I Can't Hear You Calling" single is reviewed in Italian by The Baron!
A review by Italian journalist, Claudio Baroni of our current single "I Can't Hear You Calling" has been added to the Reviews page. Be aware that we have translated this from Italian to English once more and believe us when we say the phrase "lost in translation" truly applies here! See if you can make out what the hell he is on about, yet again!? But we love him nonetheless especially as now he is comparing us to The Human League and Heaven 17!!!! August 23rd 2006 - Boomerang TV choose COAB tracks for TV sports programmes!!
Boomerang TV a PR company for Channel 4 and other TV stations have chosen two Christ On A Bike songs from the last LP to be used as backing tracks to their TV programmes "FreesportsOn4", "Freeride" and "360boardin". The songs chosen were "The Sun Is Shining Bright" and "Open Your Mind" from the "The Beat Conductor" LP. "FreesportsOn4" is usually shown on Saturday or Sunday mornings on Channel 4 here in the UK whilst the other shows are believed to be satellite shows on extreme sports channels.
August 21st 2006 - Broadjam Top Ten Chart News!
Two singles have made separate Top Ten chart places at www.broadjam.com. "I Can't Hear You Calling" made the Euro Pop top ten chart under the Pop genre whilst "Everytime" made the top ten this week in the Electronic Trance genre.
August 8th 2006 - new 6 track CD single "I Can't Hear You Calling" is to be released August 29th 06 and will be on sale from Shopping Page very soon.
The third single to be taken from the new LP will be "I Can't Hear You Calling" which is to be released on 29tth August 06. This single features a new radio mix and full original version of the song as the main tracks ( 1 & 4). The LP version will be totally different from the single so this is a definite purchase for all COAB fans!. Other tracks include "I Wanna Be Muted" which is a brand new track recorded in May 06, whilst "Mr. Numan Directs" is the third track which plays homage to Gary Numan with some nifty 80's synths! The six tracks are completed by an old risque song in "Touching Cloth" (Viz adult-comic fans will know what that means!) The last song is a play on an older song "Nekkid" which was released as a single with "Open Your Mind", called "I've Been Imagining (Nekkid)". The main track can be purchased as a download at Broadjam $0.99c download (£0.59p or €0.69c) whilst it is also carried by Soundclick $0.75c and Msoundz £0.79p . These will be added fairly soon.

June 25th 2006 - Everytime 6 track CD single released June 30th 06 on sale from Shopping Page
The second single to be taken from the new LP will be "Everytime" which is to be released on 30th June 06. This single features a new radio mix of the song as the main track, the LP version is also featured. Other tracks include "Emotions And Dreams" which has already been premiered in its short format at Msoundz whilst a brand new track "Lost In Soho" is the third track and has never been published before having only been completed in June. The six tracks are completed by a Chris vocal on "Voodoo" (Shaker Mix) and a Holly penned track "The 10th Planet". June 4th 2006 Christ On A Bike complete six remixes for American DJ/producer Cassandra Allen (UPDATED 5th July)

The band delivered their first set of
remixes for another artist last week. Six different remixes of the
song " Give Me Some Love" were completed for DJ/producer Cassandra
Allen. Cassandra has stated that one of the remixes she wants to
issue publicly for sale on her own and other websites, although she
is extremely happy with all six remixes. The track is playable there or you can find it at www.broadjam.com if you search Cassandra Allen. In return, Christ On A Bike are to receive six (possible) remixes of their song "The Sun And The Moon", which will feature as their 4th single from their new LP "A Geminus Vita" due out in September 2006. The main track plus "Watching The Stars" will make up a double A-side single together with Cassandra Allen remix or two. The band are now concentrating on the artwork for future releases but have not ruled out additional tracks being added to a limited edition version of the new LP with 4 bonus songs. |
The band were the featured new artists this week (25.5.06) "in the spotlight" section of the Loco Show on New Artist Radio. DJ Dark who is rapidly becoming our favourite all time DJ played a little tribute saying we were a "local favourite on the Loco Show" and then read out the band's early history before playing "Pushing Pushing". Christ On A Bike appeared on 'The Loco Show' on New Artist Radio once more this week (17.5.06). DJ Dark who hosts the show mentions the band as a favourite of his and played the song "Meet Me On The Dark Side Of The Hood", which featured on last year's single "Keep Walking" (also played on the show recently). The band have now had five songs played on the show whilst already lined up to play are "Pushing Pushing" and "The Beat Conductor" from last year's 3rd LP. Keep an ear out as the band are going to submit a recently finished new song called "Everybody Move Now" which will be dedicated to DJ Dark!!
